What is Operation Orange?

Operation Orange is a public awareness initiative of the Tactical Tone Memorial Foundation focused on increasing awareness of Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC), honoring those impacted, and encouraging conversations that can save lives.

Inspired by Antonio "Tactical Tone" Ortiz's legacy of loyalty, strength, and service, Operation Orange uses symbolic orange toy soldiers, educational materials, community outreach, and public participation to spread awareness of a rare cancer that remains widely unknown.

Why Orange?

Orange represents kidney cancer awareness and the mission of the Tactical Tone Memorial Foundation:  raising awareness, supporting education, and honoring Antonio's legacy.

The Story Behind the Orange Toy Soldiers

When Antonio was young, he loved his "army guys" and carried them with him everywhere.  He would spend hours creating elaborate setups and adventures, carefully arranging them with imagination and strategy far beyond his years.

As he got older, his love for adventure, exploration, and meaningful experiences never faded.

Today, Operation Orange continues that spirit.

The small orange toy soldiers have become symbols of courage, awareness, remembrance, and connection.  They are placed in different locations, taken on adventures, photographed along the way, and sometimes strategically placed for others to discover - each one carrying the mission forward and helping spark conversations about Renal Medullary Carcinoma awareness.

For Jennifer, Antonio's mother, placing an orange toy soldier somewhere new is also a way of keeping Antonio's adventurous spirit in the world - a quiet reminder that his journey and impact continue.

Wherever they appear, the message remains the same:

Awareness saves time.  Time saves lives.  No One Gets Left Behind.
